Darkson Designs

History

Darkson Designs began in 2001 as a miniature painting service. Today, Darkson Designs is a full fledged game design company that produces a line of high quality miniatures and table top miniature war games. Darkson Designs is dedicated to creating exciting games with great customer support. Darkson Designs has made an impact in the gaming industry with its true scale 28mm figures for the “Retro Sci-Fi” game AE-WWII (Alternate Events World War II) and the science fiction game AE: Bounty (Alien Encounters: Bounty). Our future plans include expanding the selection of Darkson Designs games to include family games and other exciting fictional genres.

Executive Staff

Robert Kingery – Creative Director

Robert has a background in Videography and Art and has been painting miniatures for more than 15 years. Robert’s passion for painting miniatures led to developing his own line of miniatures. He has focused on developing products that are of value to the serious and casual hobbyist and exposing people to miniature lines and artists that are not big names in the industry (yet!).

When Robert is not working hard as “Darkson” he serves in the United States Air Force as a Combat Videographer for the 4th Combat Camera Unit. Robert has been on many exciting missions doing historical documentation, most notable has been his recent tour in Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Crystal Kingery – Executive Director

Crystal is the driving force behind the business aspects of Darkson Designs. She has a background in business with over 8 years experience in software, technical support, web design and information technology. Crystal enjoys putting all of her experience and skills to work designing and publishing the high quality full color releases that Darkson Designs has become known for in the industry.
